Tatabánya Mutifunctional Sports Hall

The building, located in the south-eastern part of Tatabánya, is a multifunctional indoor sports hall with a capacity of up to 6,000 spectators, suitable for holding and broadcasting international and world class handball competitions. A fencing hall with 20 fencing strips is also connected to the building.

The hall with its clear exterior and interior design is suitable for basketball, futsal, volleyball, tennis games, fencing and judo matches. The new facility primarily serves the training and the competitions of the internationally renowned, first-class handball team.

The multifunctional hall is also fitted to and equipped for pop music and classical music concerts, prose and dance theater performances. The conjoining main hall and the fencing hall is perfect for organizing exhibitions, fairs, professional expos, large-scale receptions, balls and other events. The telescopic mechanism of the stands also facilitate this.

The maximum span of the triangular lattice girder of the lightweight construction roof is 64.4 m.

Colleagues of CÉH Design Department performed the general designer tasks and appied the BIM working method, which was certified with KITEMARK by BSI, in 2021.
