AUDI plant

The Phase II development of the AUDI plant was connected to the expansion of the Győr site into a facility covering the full vehicle production process. The aim of the investment was to enable further key elements of the production chain to operate at the same location, alongside the existing engine production and vehicle assembly activities.

The development brought together several large-scale industrial functions: the press shop, body shop, paint shop and vehicle assembly plant jointly created the conditions for a more complete production background. In an automotive investment of this scale, the buildings must be precisely aligned with production technology processes, logistics connections, operational safety and long-term operation.

We participated in the project with engineering consultancy services. Our task was to review the construction design documentation related to the Phase II development of the AUDI plant in accordance with Hungarian regulations, covering structural, building services, electrical and low-current disciplines.

Design review is particularly important in an industrial development of this complexity. The different disciplinary solutions must not only meet technical and regulatory requirements in their own right, but also operate in coordination with one another and with the production technology environment.

Environmental considerations were also part of the development, particularly in relation to the technological solutions of the new paint shop. The investment further strengthened the role of Audi’s Győr site, while adding significant industrial capacity and long-term job-creation impact to the regional economy.
