Mercedes Plant

In 2008, Mercedes Benz launched a green-field investment in Kecskemét. The design work started in 2008 and the groundbreaking ceremony took place in October 2009. The complex of the Mercedes vehicle manufacturing plant contains 16 buildings, including 4 giant halls and a central office building. Top-notch environment-friendly technologies have been installed at the plant. Projected annual capacity: 100,000 vehicles. Trial runs were started in autumn 2011. The first Mercedes vehicle manufactured in Hungary will roll off the assembly line in spring 2012.
