Hankook tire factory extension

The expansion of Hankook’s tyre manufacturing plant in Rácalmás significantly increased the site’s production capacity in response to growing European demand. The second phase included a new production unit as well as office and service buildings. The development added approximately 16,000–17,000 tyres per day to the plant’s output, nearly doubling its production capacity.

Our responsibility was to provide engineering quality control services during the implementation of the investment. Throughout construction, our engineers monitored compliance with technical requirements and the quality of execution on this large-scale, complex automotive project.

The second production unit reached full capacity by 2011. As a result of the development, the annual production capacity of the Rácalmás plant increased to 12 million tyres, further strengthening its role within Hankook’s European manufacturing network.
