Szent János Hospital
The order for the design of the North-Central Buda Center Hospital was won by CÉH zRt. in a consortium with TSPC. The design program aimed to establish a new emergency center in Buda, which would also serve the Buda agglomeration until the South Buda Center Hospital is realized. In the initial phase of the program, the task expanded, and the area of the efficient and modern emergency center, which could be developed on approximately 45-55,000 m², grew to the design of a main building of nearly 130,000 m² by adding new functions and oversizing the required size of individual functions. This building size could only be implemented by completely cutting through the traditional, ventilated, and loosely built three-part structure of the Szent János Hospital. All other development possibilities ensuring connection with the environment were separated from the design program. The necessary resources for the project to grow to this scale are not available, so the realization of the project is postponed indefinitely. We hope that the design of the emergency center in Buda, which is extremely lacking for the Capital, originally proposed by CÉH zRt. to the consortium leader, can be reconsidered and realized in its functionally necessary size.
