CAPT NATO - Combined Aerial Port Facility

CAPF NATO is a logistics development connected to the international airlift capability operating at the HDF 47th Air Base in Pápa. The purpose of the Combined Aerial Port Facility is to provide a more modern background for the temporary storage and sorting of incoming cargo, as well as for the related administrative tasks.

The facility consists of a single-space steel-structure hall, a two-storey office section and a parachute drying tower. By expanding storage capacity and speeding up loading processes, the development directly supports the airlift operations carried out at the Pápa base.

We participated in the investment with project management and technical supervision services. Our role covered the monitoring of construction processes, the review of technical content, support for quality assurance and the professional control of implementation.

The specific professional character of the project came from the fact that a building with special logistics and support functions had to be delivered in an operating military airbase environment. In such a situation, precise coordination, compliance with strict technical requirements and adaptation to the operation of the active base are especially important.

The value of the development lies in the fact that it increases the efficiency of the airlift capacity in Pápa and contributes to the base’s role as an important European location for international strategic airlift operations.
