Expansion of Logistics Center, Construction of Freight Forwarding Office Building and Truck Parking Lot

SPAR’s logistics centre in Üllő is one of the key hubs of the company’s supply network in Hungary. The aim of the development was to support the operation of the existing logistics facility through the construction of a new transport office building and the related truck parking area. The investment was implemented directly next to the already operating logistics centre, so the project had to fit into the day-to-day operation of an active site.

The new transport office supports drivers and logistics processes. The building also includes changing rooms and rest areas, while the development also involved the construction of car and truck parking facilities. The project can therefore be interpreted not as a standalone office development, but as a functionally important infrastructure element complementing the operation of the logistics centre.

CÉH zRt. provided technical supervision services for the investment. Our role covered the professional control of construction processes, the review of technical content, support for quality assurance, and ensuring the traceability of implementation.

The specific professional challenge of the project was that the development was connected to an operating logistics environment. In such a situation, one of the key tasks of technical supervision is to ensure that construction is carried out safely, with consideration for the existing site processes and operational requirements.

The investment contributes to the more efficient operation of the logistics centre, while also improving the everyday working conditions of the employees and drivers involved in transport activities. This is where the value of the development lies: through a targeted, functional expansion, it supports the logistics background of a nationwide retail network.
