SPAR Törökbálint

A retail complex of nearly 5,000 square metres was developed on a SPAR-owned site near Lake Törökbálint. Approximately half of the building is occupied by a 2,164-square-metre SPAR supermarket, with a dm store, a Lipóti Pékség bakery and additional retail units located alongside it.

CÉH zRt. provided comprehensive project management and technical supervision services for the greenfield development. Our responsibilities extended from reviewing the preparation and technical content of the construction documentation to supervising completion and supporting the occupancy permit procedure.

A 9,000-square-metre car park with capacity for more than 250 vehicles was constructed next to the multi-tenant retail building. The design of the traffic and servicing areas had to coordinate customer movements, deliveries to the individual stores and safe pedestrian circulation. Brightly coloured, clearly recognisable traffic markings help visitors find their way and give the external areas a distinctive visual character. Charging points were also installed for electric vehicles.

A family-friendly playground was created next to the supermarket, making the retail complex more convenient for visitors arriving with children. Together with the parking areas, it extends the usability of the external environment beyond its basic traffic and servicing functions.

The building incorporates specific energy-efficient technical solutions. Low-consumption LED lighting is used throughout the sales area, while the carbon-dioxide-based refrigeration system recovers waste heat to contribute to heating the supermarket during winter.

Wide aisles, a clearly organised sales floor and self-service checkouts support convenient and efficient use. A separate chilled drinks room also forms part of the supermarket interior.
