Miskolc City Centre Regeneration

The regeneration of Miskolc city centre was carried out as part of the “Heart of Miskolc” programme, aimed at revitalising the historic city centre’s built environment, transport connections and public spaces. The development included the renewal of public areas, roads and green spaces, as well as the comprehensive reconstruction of the City Hall complex.

Our responsibilities included project management and technical supervision of the development works. We monitored construction activities, verified their compliance with technical requirements and helped coordinate the work of the various parties involved in the implementation.

One of the key elements of the project was the modernisation and expansion of the Mayor’s Office. The construction of a new building wing and the renovation of existing buildings made it possible to consolidate municipal departments previously operating at several locations and establish a modern, citizen-friendly customer service centre.

The regenerated public spaces and improved municipal facilities have enhanced the usability of the city centre, improved transport conditions and made municipal services more accessible to residents.
