Városmajor Development Study
Transport study documentation prepared as part of the Buda Green Corridor, assessing the transport conditions of Városmajor and its surroundings and formulating proposals aimed at improving and humanising its traffic connections.
Government Resolution No. 1690/2019 (XII. 10.) set the objective of renewing the interconnected green areas of the capital that play an important role in Budapest’s everyday life. As the first step towards this objective, the design task was to prepare and conceptually underpin the revitalisation of Városmajor. Based on the survey, documentation and analysis of the existing conditions, recommendations were prepared for the arrangement and development of green space and transport-related issues, including pedestrian, cycling, road traffic and parking connections.
The completed documentation served as the basis for the design competition successfully launched the following year.
