M30 Motorway Sajó Bridge

The Sajó Bridge on the M30 motorway was built as one of the significant road structures of the Emőd–Miskolc expressway section. The bridge carries the motorway over the River Sajó and is connected to the development of the region’s expressway links.

We participated in the project with bridge design services. The 117.06-metre-long structure was designed as a three-span, multi-support composite bridge, where the reinforced concrete deck slab works together with a two-girder steel structure.

The bridge foundation was built with precast driven piles. This solution provided the necessary structural support in the river environment, adapted to the local soil conditions.

The professional focus of the design task came from the need for the bridge to function safely, durably and in a way that supports efficient operation as part of a high-traffic motorway section. The structure was designed to fit into the transport and structural system of the M30 Emőd–Miskolc section.
