Megyeri Bridge
Megyeri Bridge (length: 1,862 m) is the longest river bridge in Hungary. It comprises five different bridge structures linked to each other, spanning over both branches of the Danube and the southern part of the Szentendrei Island. The 3-span bridge, constructed in the main branch of the Danube, is a unique structure in Hungary with its fan-like diagonal cables; its outside spans are 145 meter long, its middle span is 300 meter long. The two typical, "A"-shaped pylons support the whole deck structure by 88 diagonal cables, arranged into two planes. The pylons are 100 meter high. The deck "floats" between the two pylon legs at a height of 10 meters.
