Gubacsi Road Railway Bridge

The railway bridges over Gubacsi Road, regardless of their span, are being built at one of the most complex junctions on the Ferencváros–Kelenföld railway line. One of the structures will connect the future bridge spanning Ferencváros railway station back to Main Line No. 1, and the area is also heavily affected by public utilities.

Maintaining continuous road traffic and urban tram traffic underneath, as well as rail traffic on Main Line No. 1 above, was a key design requirement. Therefore, defining the construction phases and work-zone boundaries required a high level of care and consideration.

Due to the need to manage the unusual, complex geometry resulting from numerous constraints, the detailed design of the substructures and superstructures of all bridges was carried out on a 3D basis (CDE – common data environment) by CÉH zRt. In addition to traditional methods, the superstructure calculations were supplemented by parametric control in some cases.
