Danube Bridge at Esztergom
The cable-stayed bridge spanning the main Danube branch has two pylons and two cable planes, and its spans are 168+460+168m.
Total width: 29 m.
Pylon height above deck level: 100 m.
The pylon legs are linked together by reinforced concrete beams below the deck structure and by a lamellar steel structure at the cable anchors. The stiffening support has composite structure. The bridge looks very elegant and airy due to the combined effect of its separate, arching pylon legs, the "veil-like" look of diagonal cables and the water surface as it appears between the substructure sections of pylon legs.
