MTV Headquarters and Production Centre

The MTV Headquarters and Production Centre was developed on Kunigunda Road in Budapest's 3rd district as a modern television production and office complex for Hungarian Television. The project included the complete renovation of existing studio and service buildings, as well as the microwave transmission tower, alongside the construction of new facilities. The development comprised a 20,000 m² office block, 12,000 m² of new studio space, an energy centre and additional service buildings. The complex also includes parking areas, roads, utilities and landscaped green spaces.

Our responsibility was to provide comprehensive technical supervision throughout the construction process. In addition to earthworks, architectural and structural works, we supervised the installation of mechanical, electrical and utility systems, as well as road construction and landscaping. Our role also extended to technical and cost consultancy related to change management, including the assessment of the technical and financial implications of modifications arising during construction.

The complexity of the project resulted from the combination of extensive renovation works and the construction of new facilities designed to meet the specific requirements of television production. Ensuring compliance with the technical requirements of the various engineering disciplines and assessing changes during construction required a comprehensive engineering approach.

The completed complex brought television production, office operations and related support functions together at a single location. The development also included a green roof and landscaped outdoor areas.
