Skanska Nordic Light Office Complex – Phases I–II

Nordic Light is a Class A office complex developed by Skanska in two phases along Budapest's Váci Road office corridor in District XIII. The project was designed to provide a modern, energy-efficient and flexible working environment, combining sustainability with employee comfort and wellbeing.

Our responsibilities included project management, technical supervision and consultancy supporting the LEED certification process. We coordinated project delivery, monitored technical compliance during construction and provided professional support in meeting international green building certification requirements.

One of the complex's most distinctive architectural features is its LED façade lighting inspired by the Northern Lights. Three-dimensional glass fins add visual character while also providing natural shading. Energy-efficient building systems, landscaped courtyards, green terraces and facilities supporting cycling contributed to the development achieving LEED Gold certification.

The project also improved the surrounding urban environment. A publicly accessible passage connecting Váci Road and Visegrádi Street created a new pedestrian link and an attractive green space for building users and the local community.
