Procter & Gamble Gyöngyös Plant – Green Pearl Project

The Procter & Gamble plant in Gyöngyös was developed as a greenfield investment in the city's industrial park, near the M3 motorway. The Green Pearl project established the company's second manufacturing facility in Hungary, originally designed for the production of Pampers diapers. The large-scale industrial hall was constructed using a precast reinforced concrete frame.

Our responsibility was to provide project management services for the factory development. The complexity of the project arose from the scale of construction, the specific technical requirements of the industrial facility and the need to coordinate building works with production technology requirements. Our project management team supported the organisation of the development and cooperation among the parties involved.

Sustainability was also an important consideration in the development: the original Babycare production facility achieved LEED Silver environmental certification. The plant became part of P&G's international manufacturing and supply network, with its products intended for both the Hungarian market and export markets.

The establishment of the factory created approximately 150 new jobs in Gyöngyös, contributing to industrial development and employment growth in the region.
